He has lived and worked in Lebanon, USA & Europe and speaks fluently Arabic, English, French & Italian. Ziad lives in Genova Italy and is currently a member of the Italian Alpine Club (CAI). His training ground is in the European Alps mountain range climbing technically difficult mountains. He has started climbing at the age of 9 and has since acquired significant experience in mountaineering, climbing the highest mountain in Europe Mt. Cycling, elliptical cross training and trail running are important parts of his training. The famous climber Ueli Steck has and will always be the mentor of Ziad where his training is based on Ueli’s training directives. Additionally, whenever in Lebanon, Ziad does a special high/extreme altitude daily training called “Hypobaric Training” sponsored by Université St. Joseph USJ / Hotel Dieu De France HDF.
